Animators Open Call - Scenes to be animated

Most of the scenes have had their principle photography completed, but we are still seeking some inserts and 1 full scene to be produced by anyone who wants to try.

The main scene is the Maritak Court room scene in which the wife petitions for possession of her husband's immense wealth.

This would be at least 57 seconds as we have the voice over for that length, but could run as long as 3 mins.

Second Movie in series - progress report

Principal photography for God's Companion 2 is 95% complete May 2006.

Schedule for the finished movie is Spring 2007

There will be some sneak preview stills on this site soon, and if you search on-line you may find some beta versions of some of the scenes which are being using in the open call for actors to do the voices of the characters such as Scene 002 Lawyer & Wife argue on balcony.

The main changes from the first in the series God's Companion - the search for Jefratus are the increased render time, the slower pace, the increase in narration in place of dialogue and the shift towards non-human characters. This has been partly due to the different emphasis in this part of the overall story, but also has been a reflection of resources available and experience during the production of the first feature movie in the series.

Several of the scenes are still on OPEN CALL so if you want to create one of those scenes register now at the Film forum where you can sign-up to be in the movies.

God's Companion 3 is now in development with a scheduled completion date in 2008.

The camera in extreme close-up of the Lawyer's eyes. The camera puuls back to reveal the Lawyer staring through the grill of the window of his Starstreamer. The camera continues to pull away as the Startstreamer reduces in size to a tiny dot in a black void of deep space.

GC002017 - finale not yet filmed: Smoogat announces that the battleship must go on a short errand and that the Lawyer will be returned to his Starstreamer, which has been disabled, anchored and hidden in a space blanket until the battleship returns. We see a close-up on the Lawyer's eyes, pulling away (as in initial scene) as the deep void of space envelops the Starstreamer and a voice over of a memebr of Smoogat's crew announces, "Hull rupture!" "We must proceed at low speed to a repair port."

The Lawyer is worried by the threat he has received from the deadly terrorists called Liberators.

His estrangement from his wife is apparently a minor side story, but will lead to unforseen consequences.

The Lawyer decides to take a trip into deep space to meet with the cut-throat pirate Smoogat so that he may be smuggled into the distant and bizarre world of Castrati

He expects to make contact with the Liberators on that world and to recruit them in his mad plan of empire building, because every empire begins with ruthless force.

Unknown to him, his wife will make use of his absence to go to court to claim disertion and the transfer of his immense wealth into her control, but what neither of them knows is that another person is manipulating them for an even more dastardly purpose.

Rating: Some nudity, a few naughty jokes, little violence.

Release date: Spring 2007
